Who are we?

Henrys Hope was set up in September 2019 with a view to organising monthly support groups to give bereaved parents in the Barnsley area the opportunity to meet with other parents in similar situations.

Since starting the charity we have held our monthly support groups, but along with this we have seen a need for more chances for parents to meet. Evening groups are not alway accessible to everyone, so we also now arrange a monthly family group walk. These meets are in the local area and usually at different locations each month. I can be easier for some people to talk when they aren’t sat face to face, a walk out in the open is the perfect opportunity to start these conversations. 

Every few months we try to arrange meets ups for mums and dads separately, these events are more of a social meet rather than a support group.
