Lantern Walk - Wave of Light 2020

Our 2020 Wave Of Light Lantern Walk will be held at Newmillerdam Country Park.

Our plan is to meet at The Boathouse Cafe promptly at 5:20pm, here you will be able to collect your lantern, which you can carry for the walk and take home afterwards. We will be splitting those attending the walk into two groups. so the first to arrive will head off before. Where possible these groups will remain separate for the remainder of the evening.

When return to The Boathouse you will be able to purchase refreshments and at 7pm we will lay our lanterns down together and light BLAW latern. The Boathouse will only be able to seat groups from the same household at a table. There will be seating both inside and outside

If you havent already given us a message with your little ones name, please do. It will help us ensure we have your lantern ready for you when you arrive.

We would like to run our event in two halfs (15mins apart) to reduce the amount of us walking together. Essentially creating two lantern walks, these groups will be lead by our volunteers.

To remain COVID secure, we will advise that each party keeps a minimum of 2m distance whilst we are walking.

Please do not attend the event if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been told to self-isolate by the NHS Covid-19 app.

Will will request at least one person from each party scans our NHS track and trace QR code to register yourself at our event, for this you will require the NHS Covid 19 App.
