Wave Of Light Lantern Walk 2023

As you’ll be aware this year, we are holding the event on the 14th October, we hope this will allow for a more relaxed event where we won’t have to worry about timings for the 7pm candle lighting.

We plan to leave The Boathouse for our Lantern walk at 6pm, if you’d like to grab a drink beforehand, please arrive with plenty of time. The Boathouse will be serving drinks from 5:30pm. This will also give you a chance to collect your lantern. 

When we return to The Boathouse after our walk there will be a chance for you to grab any more drinks, cakes etc.

We will aim to light our candles at around 7pm and give ourselves a moment to remeber our little ones. Everyone is welcome to stay afterwards to eat, drink and chat.

All family members are welcome, please dress appropriately for the weather as there is only limited seating inside the boathouse.

We would like to ask that this year we try to recycle the laterns made for previous years, not only will this reduce the impact on the environment and costs to the charity, but also the work involved in getting so many lanterns ready for the event. we can alway supply new batteries if required
